About Virginia
(AKA Ginni)
Welcome to my Website and thank you for showing some interest in finding out some more about me and how I got here.
I am a yoga teacher and a ceremonial cacao facilitator, I am a space holder and sound practitioner. I am a retreat host and an all-things-wellness advocate. I am a creator, a seeker, a lover, a healer, a thinker, and a beautiful mess at times.
My yoga practice began in July 2019 when I was in a bad place emotionally and mentally yet again, feeling hopeless and vulnerable. My first ever class was by Katie Duggan. (One of my biggest inspirations to this day). Practicing daily, reading about Yoga and taking regular classes, I fell in love with this way of life and how my breath, my mindset, my perspectives and my body, changed in such a positive way. Yoga was and still is an invaluable tool-set that enables me to handle anxiety and depression symptoms. My only regret Is not starting yoga earlier.
I wanted to scream from the rooftops about the benefits of Yoga! In September 2020 I took the plunge and dived into my first Yoga Teacher Training with Golden Glow Yoga under the care and guidance of Sri Radha Sharon O Neill ❤️ Since then I've left my Chef whites behind and closed the door on the hotel kitchen industry and I've not looked back since! Best decision I've ever made for my mental and physical health.
Holding space for those that come to the classes and retreats who are in need of finding peace, of letting go, of being heard, of finding more like-minded people, just like I was at the beginning of my yoga journey, gives me a great sense of purpose like no other and a happiness in knowing that I can make a difference.
The study of Yoga is endless, I will keep going on this journey of knowledge and self discovery and I hope to meet you somewhere along the way!
Some other things I like are hiking and sea dipping. I've got two dogs Bobby and Luna, whom I adore. And one bearded dragon, Mitch, who probably hates me but I love him anyway. I love to relax, journal, gaze at the moon and stars, sip wholesome cacao, read and research, I love to dance and feel alive, I love to sing even though I cant! I love to cuddle my partner and my pets and I'm grateful for every small blessing there is.
I've experienced loss and grief in its different forms 🌈 and without Yoga and Mama Cacao I know i would not be where I am now. Forever grateful for my journey, the ups and the downs alike.
Here's a mantra that i used often in times of need.
"I am love. I am light. I am strong."
OM Shanti shanti shanti
